Education Development Trust: Gateshead Go Volunteer

Funded as part of the UK SPF People and Skills investment priority. Gateshead Go Volunteer is designed to replicate the successful employability support offered through Gateshead Go Work Live, but deliver it through a placement-centred approach, with 'placements' being either volunteering opportunities or work experience (WEX) opportunities, as applicable to the needs/interests of each participant.

Go Volunteer participants will receive wraparound service providing an individually tailored programme of interventions to overcome individual barriers to labour market participation. The programme will co-exist with complementary UK SPF People and Skills provision in Gateshead, including Go Work Live.

The programme does not have a set duration, but programme applicants will be asked to commit to a minimum of one day's placement per week over four to twelve weeks.

Beneficiaries must be Gateshead residents, aged 18+.
