UK Shared Prosperity Fund funded projects

NorthEastMayoral

Gateshead Council welcomes the Government's announcement of 2025-26 Transition Year Funding for the UKSPF programme. The Government published the allocations for lead local authorities on Friday 13 December 2024, with funding to be allocated for delivery across the region as a whole through the NE Combined Authority. Details of the allocations by Government can be found on the GOV.UK website (opens new window). A technical note update to the UKSPF prospectus has also been published and can be found on the GOV.UK website (opens new window).

Due to the significant reduction in UKSPF grant available in 2025-26, compared to the resource available in 2022-25, we are not seeking any new project proposals at this time and are instead prioritising use of UKSPF Transition Year Funding to support the continuation of activities, where there is a clear demonstration of local need and demand, delivered by existing UKSPF projects in Gateshead.
