Gateshead Go Work Live: Education Development Trust
Education Development Trust and Changing Lives have joined together to offer a full employability wraparound service for all economic inactive residents of the Gateshead Metropolitan Borough. The programme offers one-to-one support to explore your career goals. We work in collaboration with the residents to support them to access benefits advice, apply for jobs, research training, volunteering and work experience opportunities.
We help residents with:
improving basic English and digital skills
accessing mental or physical health support
engaging with the benefit system
creating a CV
applying for and securing jobs
practising and increasing interview skills
support into work and sustaining work
The programme has a flexible fund that can be used to make purchases, such as interview clothes, public transport tickets or tools to help gain or keep employment.
