We have venues to suit every purpose and occasion, whether you are planning a special event or booking a conference or a meeting.

Gateshead Central Library

Gateshead Central Library offers a number of room-hire options to suit a range of requirements. The rooms are located on the first floor and can be accessed by both stairs and a lift. The rooms are available to book during library opening hours

A discounted rate is applicable to Gateshead Council services and Gateshead-based not-for-profit organisations.

Community meeting rooms

There are three rooms available to hire for meetings, training sessions, presentations or workshops. Wailes and Dodds Rooms include a small kitchen area with tea and coffee making facilities. Screens, flip charts or display boards are available on request. Sowerby Room is ideal for one-to-one counselling sessions or interviews.

Caedmon Hall

Caedmon Hall is a large flexible space, ideal for smaller music events and rehearsals or meetings, talks and workshops. The hall is equipped with a PA system and presentation equipment. The hall has capacity for events for up to 180 people, depending on layout.

Saltwell Towers

Saltwell Towers offers a range of stunning spaces to hire which all provide the perfect backdrop for a number of events. From meetings, corporate functions and drinks receptions through to important life events such as weddings, birthdays and funerals, we have expert help on hand to make your day go smoothly. Half day, full day and evening hire is available.
