Read more about Fairtrade Fortnight 2019 and find out how you can get involved.
Fairtrade is about getting better prices, decent working conditions, ensuring local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. It's a simple way each one of us can make a difference through our everyday choices. Fairtrade aims to enable the poorest farmers and workers to improve their position and have more control over their lives.
Gateshead has renewed Fairtrade Town Status until 2020 as we commit to promoting Fairtrade.
