Ethnic minority and traveller achievement service

The Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service (EMTAS) is a team of dedicated specialist staff with significant experience of working with schools, community groups and other partners. We work to support schools in raising the attainment of children from ethnic minority backgrounds, those who have English as an additional language (EAL) and Gypsy, Roma and Travellers' (GRT) children, including refugee and asylum-seeker pupils.

We provide assessment, consultation, advice, support and training in relation to children who have English as an Additional Language (EAL) or are from Gypsy Roma and Traveller communities (GRT).
