Infrastructure Funding Statement
Local Authorities are now required to produce an Infrastructure Funding Statement (IFS) on an annual basis, as a result of recent changes to government legislation.
Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and S106 (collectively known as 'planning obligations' or 'developer contributions') income is used to help fund the provision of supporting infrastructure in association with development. The IFS sets out the progress Gateshead has made in the collection and spending of CIL and S106 income over the last 3 years.
