How to apply for training
Due to the ongoing situation with the COVID-19 virus we have taken the decision to cancel all face to face training organised by Workforce Development until further notice. We are reviewing this as and when guidance is coming in. If you have any queries please email WDSupport@gateshead.gov.uk
Our Learning and Development Self Service facility gives you access to your own account where you will be able to request, view, amend and cancel your learning and development activity.
Gateshead Council employees
You will already be automatically registered. Find the 'My HR and Payroll' icon on your desktop and log on using your account details. To access this system on home pcs, mobile devices or tablets, visit My HR and Payroll.
Non Gateshead Council employees
There are two steps:
- Step one: First time registration
Complete the first time registration form for non-council employees. You must ensure that your password is exactly nine characters, for example Welcome10. Upon receiving your form the Workforce Development Team will validate your account and you will be sent login details, this will take approximately 24 hours.
- Step two: Log into Learning and Development Self Service
On receipt of your login details, go to Learning and Development self service and enter your details. You will then be able to search for and apply for learning events.
