Burdon Moor

The site offers a taste of that wild upland experience at one of Gateshead's highest points.

• Good for bird watching, especially in summer
• It has a short circular 'Accessible For All' walk and a small number of sculptures on or near the site.

Access from the Bowes Railway Path on the opposite side of the road from the Tanfield Railway (opens new window) on Burdon Plain Road - the road between Sunniside and Stanley.
