Autism Supporters

We have a number of employees who are trained as Autism Supporters. You can contact them if you require any assistance before, during or after a visit to the Civic Centre. They will:

• act as a first point of contact for anyone with autism coming to the Civic Centre
• assist anyone with autism with special access arrangements
• help arrange a suitable place to meet with council staff
• provide advance meeting information in a suitable format (large font, on coloured paper)
• meet anyone with autism on the day of visit to direct them to meeting room
• help anyone with autism access a quiet room/space if they need to be calm and quiet
