Sheltered accommodation
We have 36 sheltered schemes (1433 properties), helping older people to live independently. This housing is a mix of flats, bungalows, and one extra-care scheme.
All schemes benefit from communal lounges, where our sheltered scheme officers support a programme of activities to help tackle social isolation and encourage a sense of community.

Boltons Bungalows is in the outer west of Gateshead, close to Chopwell and Highfield. There are bus links to Gateshead town centre and Blaydon bus station.
