Boltons Bungalows

Overview

Boltons Bungalows is situated in the outer west of Gateshead, close to Chopwell and Highfield. There are bus links to Gateshead town centre and Blaydon bus station, where there is a train station nearby. Blaydon precinct has many shopping facilities and a large supermarket. In the area surrounding Boltons Bungalows there are many nature walks and Chopwell Wood is close by.  

Boltons Bungalows consists of 26 one-bed bungalows, each containing Tunstall emergency care units with pull cords and pendants. These are technology solutions that can help you to manage many risks around the home, and alert caregivers in an emergency. The bungalows all have open-plan gardens and parking is available on site. There is a Mobile Sheltered Scheme Officer who is contactable Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 4.30pm, providing support and advice to residents.  

On site there is a separate communal lounge for residents' use, which is run by Boltons Committee Team. Ongoing refurbishments during 2024 will make the lounge a modern hub for residents and the wider local community.  

The lounge runs an activity schedule where residents come together to relax and socialise.
