Overview

Crocus Close is situated in the outer west of Gateshead between Blaydon and Winlaton. There are bus links to Gateshead town centre and Blaydon bus station, which is near a train station and the Metrocentre. Blaydon precinct has many shopping facilities and a large supermarket, and the Metrocentre has a large selection of high-street retailers. Crocus Close is near Blaydon Burn where you can enjoy a walk down to the riverside. 

Crocus Close consists of 39 one-bed bungalows, each containing Tunstall emergency care units with pull cords and pendants. These are technology solutions that can help you to manage many risks around the home, and alert caregivers in an emergency. The bungalows all have open-plan gardens and parking is available on site. There is a Scheme Officer on site Monday to Thursday between 8.30am and 5pm and Friday between 8.30am and 4.30pm, providing support and advice to residents.

On site there is a separate communal lounge. The lounge runs a busy activity schedule where residents come together to relax and socialise. There are also laundry facilities for residents' use.
