Overview

Rectory Hall is situated in the west of Gateshead in Whickham. There are excellent bus links to the Metrocentre, Gateshead town centre, Newcastle and Blaydon bus station, which has a train station nearby with links to Hexham and beyond. Rectory Hall is close to Whickham Front Street where there are many shopping facilities, restaurants and a dental surgery. The Metrocentre is a short journey away, with a large selection of high-street retailers. In the area surrounding Rectory Hall there is Chase Park which hosts a basketball and football court play area and open spaces to enjoy walks.  

Rectory Hall consists of 16 bedsits and 14 one-bed bungalows, each containing Tunstall emergency care units with pull cords and pendants. These are technology solutions that can help you to manage many risks around the home, and alert caregivers in an emergency. There is a Scheme Officer on site Monday to Thursday between 8.30am and 5pm, and Friday 08.30am and 4.30pm, providing advice and support to residents.

On site there is a separate communal lounge. The lounge runs an activity schedule where residents come together to relax and socialise. There is also a communal kitchen area and laundry facilities for residents' use.
