Overview

Rydal Crescent is situated in the outer west of Gateshead in Winlaton. It is close to Blaydon and Rowlands Gill. There are bus links to Gateshead town centre and Blaydon bus station, which has a train station nearby with links to Hexham and beyond. Blaydon precinct has many shopping facilities and a large supermarket. In the area surrounding Rydal Crescent there are many nature walks including the Derwent Walk Country Park.  

Rydal Crescent consists of 28 one-bed bungalows, each containing Tunstall emergency care units with pull cords and pendants. These are technology solutions that can help you to manage many risks around the home, and alert caregivers in an emergency. The bungalows have open-plan gardens and parking is available on site. There is a Mobile Sheltered Scheme Officer who is contactable Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 4.30pm, providing support and advice to residents.  

On site there is a separate communal lounge which runs a activity schedule where residents come together to relax and socialise.
