Bensham Court is situated in central Gateshead, where there is a range of shopping facilities, a medical centre, and a post office.  

Excellent transport links are in the area, with Gateshead Interchange offering bus and Metro links across Tyne and Wear. 

Bensham Court is a high-rise block of flats with 15 floors containing bedsits and one- and two-bed flats.  

Each flat has a Tunstall emergency care unit with pull cords and pendants. These are technology solutions that can help you to manage many risks around the home, and alert caregivers in an emergency.  

There is a Scheme Officer, who is contactable Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 4.30pm, providing advice and support to residents.  

The block has a 'breathe easy, together' room for tenants to practise wellbeing.  

Tenants also have access to an allotment space, a small car park and an on-site communal lounge which boasts a TV, dart board, books, and DVDs. The communal lounge is an active space and hosts an activity schedule for residents who come to relax and socialise together.
