Mosspool

Overview

Mosspool is situated in the outer west of Gateshead in Winlaton. There are bus links to Gateshead town centre and Blaydon bus station, which has a train station nearby, with links to Hexham and beyond. Blaydon precinct has many shopping facilities and a large supermarket. Mosspool is near Blaydon Burn, where you can enjoy a walk down to the riverside.  

Mosspool consists of 7 one-bed flats, 32 one-bed bungalows and 17 two-bed bungalows, each containing Tunstall emergency care units with pull cords and pendants. These are technology solutions that can help you to manage many risks around the home, and alert caregivers in an emergency. The bungalows all have open-plan gardens and parking is available on site. There is a Scheme Officer on site Monday to Thursday between 8.30am and 5pm and Friday between 8:30am and 4:30pm, providing advice and support to residents.   

On site there is a separate communal lounge. The lounge runs an activity schedule where residents come together to relax and socialise.
