Overview

Conifer Close is situated in the outer west of Gateshead in Winlaton, close to Blaydon and Rowlands Gill. There are bus links to Gateshead town centre and Blaydon bus station, which is near a train station and the Metrocentre. Blaydon precinct has many shopping facilities and a large supermarket, and the Metrocentre has a large selection of high-street retailers. In the area surrounding Conifer Close bungalows there are many nature walks including the Derwent Walk Country Park. 

Conifer Close consists of 53 one-bed bungalows, each containing Tunstall emergency care units with pull cords and pendants. These are technology solutions that can help you to manage many risks around the home, and alert caregivers in an emergency. The bungalows all have open-plan gardens and parking is available on site. There is a Mobile Sheltered Scheme Officer on site Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 4.30pm providing support and advice to residents.  

On site there is a separate communal lounge. The lounge runs a busy activity schedule where residents come together to relax and socialise.
