Gateshead Libraries launch annual customer survey

Gateshead Libraries have now launched our annual customer survey. We need your voice to be heard!

Beginning last week and running until Sunday 29 September, we've launched our customer survey to gather your views on our libraries.

Take part online

Paper copies are available in any one of our council-run libraries.

The survey should only take a few minutes to complete, but hearing your opinion on what we do is absolutely vital. It will help us understand what you love about our service, what we can improve, and how we can ensure our spaces continue to deliver what you need from them. Whether it's a thumbs up for one of our book clubs or Rhymetime, suggestions for more activities, or maybe you've just visited us once to use a printer - every opinion counts.

Encouraging our library customers to take part, Service Director for Health and Wellbeing (Leisure), Michael Lamb, said: "Our libraries are fantastic community resources that have so much to offer. They're well-loved but that doesn't mean there aren't things we could improve. We want to make sure our libraries are inclusive, vibrant spaces that meet the changing needs of our residents, and hearing your experiences will help us do that.".

Last year, hundreds of library users took part in our survey. One of the things you told us was that you wanted to hear more about the different activities we offer - sometimes you were unaware of sessions you would have enjoyed. As a result, we've changed how we communicate with you so more of our customers can take full advantage of everything we do.

This year, we would love even more people to complete our survey so we can continue making our libraries better than ever.

If you have any questions about the survey or taking part, please contact our Libraries team.
