• Understand the 5 principles of the Mental Capacity Act
• Recognise the importance and significance of the Mental Capacity Act
• Explore the requirements on practitioners when assessing capacity
• Understand the terminology surrounding the Mental Capacity Act

• Bournemouth University Framework: People identified in Group A-B2
• Anyone who cares for an individual with mental health problem or those who require a basic knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (2005)
