Becoming a MYP for Gateshead

Young people who want to create change in Gateshead are encouraged to run in our local Youth Parliament election, which happens every two years, or support their Member of Youth Parliament (MYP) to share the views of young people in Gateshead.

Anyone aged between 11 and 18 years old can get involved with our Member of Youth Parliament, but they must live, work for a minimum of 14 hours, or be in education in the Gateshead local authority region.
