Household Support Fund

Funded by UK GOV
The Household Support Fund (version 5) was a government scheme which ran up to 30 September 2024. It provided crisis support to vulnerable households to help with the significant rise in living costs.

The scheme has now ended, including the direct application element of the fund.

A further iteration of the scheme has been announced. We are waiting for the government to tell us how much funding will be available and provide guidance on how it can be used. Gateshead councillors will then agree how we will use the funding. We will announce the outcome of this as soon as possible.
