Claiming benefits
Many more people are entitled to benefits than receive them. It costs nothing to apply or check, so make sure you don't miss out.
Even if you are working you may be entitled to some form of benefit if you are on a low income.
Many Gateshead residents will have to apply for Universal Credit if they are making a new claim for benefits. Universal Credit

If you do make a claim for Universal Credit, you will still need to make a claim for Council Tax Support
