Caedmon Hall

Situated within Gateshead Central Library, Caedmon Hall is a flexible space with moveable seating, including a raised theatre-style tiered seating section. It's an ideal venue to hire for smaller music events, dance and drama as well as parties, rehearsals, meetings and conferences. With a capacity of 240 theatre style and approximately 110 cabaret style, the hall has excellent acoustics and a wooden sprung floor.

Wailes and Dodds Community Rooms

Wailes and Dodds Community Rooms are ideal for meetings, presentations and talks - each comes with an LCD TV screen to which a laptop can connect, flipcharts and small kitchen area with water boiler, fridge and mugs. These two rooms are divided by a partition wall, which can be opened to make a larger space. The rooms can be set up boardroom, theatre or classroom style with maximum capacities of 30 to 50.

Sowerby Room

The Sowerby Room is a small room suitable for meetings of up to eight people. It is a popular room for one to one counselling sessions and interviews.

At Blaydon Library

Ridley Room

Ridley Room is ideal for meetings, presentations and talks with capacity for 40. The room has an integral screen, air conditioning, accessible toilet and a small kitchen area with water boiler and crockery.

At St Mary's Heritage Centre

This grade-1 listed former church on the banks of the Tyne is available for hire, and is used for weddings, conferences, meetings and events. Both the main hall and the smaller chancel are available. Hourly, full day and half day rates apply. Find out more and enquire at St Mary's Heritage Centre
