We commissioned the following videos to help raise awareness around hate crime and hate crime reporting.

A short, information film about recognising and reporting hate crime on public transport. The film was developed by Gateshead People, Nexus, Northumbria Police and Gateshead Council.
Mate crime on public transport
A short, information film about recognising and reporting mate crime on public transport. The film was developed by Gateshead People, Go North East, Northumbria Police and Gateshead Council.
We Stand Together
An award winning, anti-discriminatory arts project delivered in collaboration with GemArts, The Gateshead Housing Company and Gateshead Council's Community Safety Team. The project enabled young people to engage, discuss and create artwork around hate crime awareness.

If you have witnessed a hate incident or been a victim of hate crime because of your race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability please report it.
Non-emergency reporting
- Call 101 to speak to police
- Report directly to Northumbria Police (opens new window) or True Vision (opens new window) online
- Report in person at a Safe Reporting Centre or Enhanced Safe Reporting Centre in Gateshead
If you have seen any offensive graffiti on a home, business or public area, you can report it online.
