Traffic and Accident Data Unit

The Traffic Accident Data Unit (TADU) (opens new window) holds traffic accident, cycle flow and traffic flow data for the Tyne and Wear area.

This information is used by the local authorities, police and other organisations to plan and implement better campaign, education, training, enforcement and engineering activities across the area.

These activities tend to be transport related but may also be linked to other issues such as health, economic development, planning and the environment.
