The cafe in Thornley Woods serves delicious local produce and seasonal food, including healthy homemade soups, toasties, and hot and cold drinks. Volunteer Countryside Rangers at the visitor centre will be able to provide information on the Derwent Walk and Gateshead's countryside, as well as drinks when the cafe is not open.

Located on the B6317 beside Blaydon Rugby Club. There is a bus stop at the start of the access road to the Centre.
Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm or dusk if earlier.
Closed between Christmas and New Year and Bank Holidays.
The Centre is open subject to staff availability. Facilities includes visitor information, some leaflets, toilets and parking.
