Riverside Routes: Staiths Art Club - Gelli Plate Printing with Nick Christie
A monthly art club at Staiths Cafe! Each month take part in a new activity from clay to jewellery, textiles to cardboard and much more! Adults only.
Join artist Nick Christie (Incubate Printing) for an evening of creating your own gelli plate prints! This workshop will focus on the many ways of using gelli plates, using paint, charcoal and other drawing materials. You'll create layers by building up images using stencils, found leaves and flowers, and images from glossy magazines to create a series of prints.
Adults only, no experience necessary.
You can see Nick's work - https://incubateprintmaking.com/Studioartists
Please note, ticket prices are low due to funding for Riverside Routes. Riverside Routes is part of the Tyne Derwent Way programme, funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Drinks and cakes can be purchased at the Cafe until 5:50pm.
