With a month of the summer holidays still remaining, we wanted to remind residents of all the fun, family-friendly and often free activities we have going on at Gateshead Libraries throughout August and beyond.
What's on
Besides picking up a book, we have loads of activities and events for all ages and interests. From retro crafts to Minecraft and Rhymetime to piano workshops, there really is something for everyone. You can view our full list of activities on the Gateshead Libraries website.
Summer Reading Challenge
The UK's biggest reading for pleasure programme for primary school children in libraries is back for 2024! The Summer Reading Challenge sees children aged 4-11 gain rewards for each book they read over the summer (audiobooks and e-books count too!). The challenge is running throughout the summer holidays in all Gateshead libraries and children can sign up at any time, either at the library or online (opens new window).
Customer satisfaction survey
We're also launching our yearly customer satisfaction survey soon. As always, we'd love to hear what you think about Gateshead Libraries. We'll be sharing more about this, and how you can take part, soon.
