Sister Winifred Laver Promoting Independence Centre

Sister Winifred Laver Promoting Independence Centre is a short stay intermediate care facility. It caters for service users recovering from an illness or injury, who may need a period of recovery and rehabilitation.

The service can support up to 60 people and has an integrated social care, therapy and nursing model. It provides a range of support to maximise an individual's independence, health, and well-being. The aim is that service users are discharged home after their stay, and any longer term support needs identified.

The service can support adults from the age of 18 who may be living with a wide range of conditions. These can include dementia frailty, mental health, physical and learning disabilities and sensory impairments.

A referral is required to access the service. Referrals come from hospital discharge team.
