Nominate your Gateshead Heroes
Do you know a person or an organisation that goes the extra mile to help others in Gateshead to thrive? If so don't let their hard work go unnoticed - nominate them for a Gateshead Award.
The awards take place annually to recognise the contribution of people within the borough who go the extra mile to help their community and to celebrate all those who make a real difference to the lives of others in Gateshead.
The Awards are also an opportunity for the wider Gateshead family to thank people for their contribution to the borough with categories being sponsored by Agilico, Bloom, Gateshead College, Gateshead FC, Komatsu, Little Movers, Metrocentre and Northgate Vehicle Hire.
The Mayor of Gateshead, Councillor Eileen McMaster, said "Giving the people of Gateshead the opportunity to thrive is our top priority and we know this is also the case for so many individuals and groups within our local communities. We continue to see fantastic examples of people doing extraordinary things to help others and it's really important that these efforts do not go unnoticed. Our local communities have continued to help those most in need and continually show that the strength of our borough comes from the people within it.
"I'd like to ask everyone to think about who they know that makes a difference to others in Gateshead and would encourage them to nominate these people or organisations for a Gateshead Award."
Nominations close on Friday 23 February 2024 and the categories are:
