Aim: To improve knowledge of Foetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder and identify ways to support the individuals with FASD.

Learning objectives

By the end of the session learners will be able to:

  • Identify the characteristics of FASD
  • Be clearer of the key challenges faced after birth, to young children, at primary age, secondary age, adolescence and adulthood
  • Identify options to support individuals with FASD

Suitable for

  • Intercollegiate Framework: Level 3 People identified in Groups 1 - 4
  • Bournemouth University Framework: People identified in Group A - B2
  • People working with children and/or their families, and people in adult care services who work with substance misusing adults.
