The demand for digital services has continued to increase, particularly during the pandemic. Following a major upgrade last year to Gateshead Council's website, more services than ever are now available 24/7.
Councillor Martin Gannon, Leader of Gateshead Council, said "We've seen increasing demand for digital services over the last few years and the pandemic has undoubtedly changed the way many people want to access our services. Our online offer enables residents to report problems, book appointments and access My Account 24/7 and we're working hard to ensure our digital services are accessible and easy to use, whilst also being efficient and cost-effective. "
You can register for a My Gateshead account which gives access to services personalised to you, for example viewing/paying council tax and housing rent, checking bin collections, keeping track of previous requests and seeing who your ward councillors are.
Anyone who cannot or would prefer not to contact us online, can use all the services by contacting our customer services team on 0191 433 3000.
