Support for caregivers
If you look after anyone who because of illness or disability needs support and cannot manage without help then you are recognised in law as a caregiver.
Many people at some point in their lives become a carergiver even though they may have other responsibilities. Being a carergiver can be rewarding but it can also be very hard work and we recognise that sometimes carers need help.
Regardless of whether you are already receiving any form of support, if you or someone you know cares for someone, you may find useful information to support you below. Alternatively you can contact Adult Social Care direct for information, advice and guidance.
Contact Adult Social Care
There are many ways to contact the adult social care team, both online and over the phone.
We encourage people who can contact us online to do so, as it helps to free up phone lines for emergencies or for those who don't have access to or the skills to use computers.
