The Angel of the North is an iconic landmark for the North East.  Since its installation in 1998, it has taken public art to a new level, provoked national debate and put Gateshead on the map - making it an ideal school topic.

How to use this pack

This pack outlines how the Angel of the North can be used in a six-week medium term plan.  The pack is for teachers of Key Stage Two, but can be easily adapted for younger children.

Organised week-by-week, the pack gives suggested lesson plans and activities. Plus, to help make your lessons as fun and engaging as possible, we've developed a range of FREE Angel-related resources.  All resources can be found at the end of each lesson just click on the lessons below.
