Based on the history and heritage of Kibblesworth, Peter Coates has hand carved a stone pathway using the map reference for former Kibblesworth Mine: NZ243562, 54° 53' 59" N, 1° 37' 16" W.
Peter also carved the circular stone seat located in the new play area.
Peter Coates is a contemporary sculptor and stone carver, who works with limestone, sandstone and slate, using traditional carving techniques. He is based in North Yorkshire and his work ranges from highly crafted robust sculpture to more intimate text bases pieces.
