Application guidance
How you complete the application form can affect whether you get an interview.
You should:
use the job profile to tell us how you meet the qualifications, skills and experience required in the job.
tell us about the qualifications and courses you have attended that are relevant to the job.
make sure that you complete the form as much as possible. If you don't we might not be able to shortlist your application.
We do not accept Curriculum Vitae (CV's).
Teacher recruitment
To achieve the highest standards we want to recruit and keep our teachers, managers and head teachers. To do this, when applying for a teaching post, a separate recruitment monitoring form is in the application pack.
References
We need two satisfactory references before we interview. All references will be asked for before interview. One of the referees should be your current or most recent employer. If you are a school/college leaver a reference should be from your teacher/lecturer at your school/college You should always ask the referees' permission before nominating them. If the job involves working with children or vulnerable adults the council reserves the right to approach any of your previous employers in writing or by phone.

- complete a confidential medical questionnaire. This may result in you having to attend a medical examination.
