We will also be exploring line and wash techniques which can be used to add detail and contrast to your paintings.

Programme content

You will explore a range of watercolour techniques taking inspiration from your choice of subject matter based on the theme of nature and landscape. You will develop skills in colour mixing and blending with watercolours to create realistic skies and explore dry brush techniques to create the textures of trees and foliage in the landscape. During the afternoon we will be exploring methods of interpreting a landscape using pen and wash techniques to achieve structure in the composition whilst also capturing the qualities of light and freshness.
