Dog fouling fixed penalty notice (FPN) payments

If you don't clean up after your dog, you can be given an on-the-spot fine (a fixed penalty notice) of £50. If you refuse to pay the fine, you could be prosecuted and face a court appearance with a maximum penalty of £1,000.

You will need

  • your Fixed Penalty Notice reference number
  • a credit or debit card

By cheque

Payable to Gateshead Council. Write your Fixed Penalty Notice reference number on the back of the cheque and post to:
