Course overview

This course aims to support you in understanding the expectations of SATs tests at the end of Key Stage 2 and provide you will strategies to support your child with each SATs test at home. You will also learn ways to support your child's mental health and how to build a positive relationship with your child on the run up to SATs.

Course content

To begin with, you will work with a tutor for around 1 hour where you will be introduced to each SATs test and find out which SATs tests your child will sit. You will then work with your child in school for 30 minutes using strategies we have shared on how you can support your child in revising for these tests. During the course, we will build on these activities and strategies over the weeks as well as discussing how you can support your child's mental health and wellbeing on the run up to SATs.

Parents / carers and relatives of school age children. 

Materials and equipment

None required.

Assessment

Your tutor will assess your work and photograph the things you have made as evidence of your hard work. You will work on targets together to show your learning over the course.
