Gecko Community

About

Gecko Community is a registered charity providing innovative teaching, therapeutic projects and mentoring. They are a neurodivergent led charity, uniquely skilled in supporting neurodivergent young people.

They support young people aged between 5 -25 who are Autistic and or have ADHD; might be experiencing anxiety and mental ill health; at risk from exclusion or have self-excluded from formal education. Might be experiencing bullying and trauma. Students can be with Gecko Community because they're out of school while they wait for a placement or as part of their EOTAS package. They support neurodivergent young people for as long as they need.

Suitable ages ranges 

Gecko Community accept children ages 5 to 25 years old.

  • Arts Awards

About the teaching

All training is carried out online. 

Students can attend from nationwide. 

Teaching is delivered on a 1 to 1 basis. 

The provision is open from 9am to 5pm. Student hours vary depending on individual needs. 

Transport is not needed.

Cost for sessions are as follows:

  • £60 per hour

Insurance 

Gecko Community have current public liability cover and insurance certificates are displayed. 

They also have current employee liability cover. 

Safeguarding 

Gecko Community have a compliant safeguarding policy in place which is reviewed yearly. 

Pre-employment checks are carried out in line with guidance. 

The provision has a designated safeguarding lead and there is regular training for all staff at the provision. 

Health and safety 

Gecko Community have a health and safety policy in place.

Data protection

Gecko Community have a data retention policy in place which is reviewed regularly. Staff also receive regular training. 

They have a privacy notice in place that explains how they collect, use and protect people's personal data.
