About
EDClass are a fully managed online alternative provision service that breaks barriers to learning.
Each lessons structure is tailored to each individual learner to meet the needs and capabilities of each learner.
Suitable ages ranges
EDClass teach children from ages 7 to 19 years old.
Qualifications available
EDClass offer KS2, 3 & 4 virtual learning resources in Maths, English language and literature, Science chemistry/physics/biology, PE, PSHRE (including behaviour repair), functional skills Maths & English. Their broader curriculum offer is growing and the vocational subjects offered are to help with those disenfranchised learns needing a different approach before they are ready to engage with any core subjects.
About the teaching
All training is carried out online.
Students can attend from across the U.K.
Teaching is delivered to a maximum ratio of 1 teacher to 60 students.
The provision is open from 8.30am to 5pm. Students can attend upto 42.5 hours per week.
EDClass are able to provide urgent placements.
The length of programme can be adapted to what is required for each student.

How to apply for a place for a student
You can make initial contact by email or phone and then arrange a visit.
ALD will supply you with the following forms to be completed and returned before the student can begin their training. Forms include:
- referral forms
- risk assessments
- positive handling forms
- pastoral support plans
- EHCP (if applicable)
Contact with schools
Once a student has began their training, EDClass will contact schools by email, phone and text message to confirm attendance. There is an system that can be accessed at any time to see the progress the learner is making. This will also be discussed at the review meetings.

Insurance
EDClass have current public liability cover and insurance certificates are displayed.
They also have current employee liability cover.
Safeguarding
EDClass have a compliant safeguarding policy in place which is reviewed regularly.
Pre-employment checks are carried out in line with guidance.
The provision has a designated safeguarding lead and there is regular training for all staff at the provision.
Health and safety
EDClass have a health and safety policy in place with a designated member of staff trained to Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) standard.
They have full risk assessment for the premises and carry out regular fire drills which are recorded.
They have all required first aid equipment in place in line with RIDDOR procedures (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013).
Data protection
EDClass have a data retention policy in place which is reviewed regularly. Staff also receive regular training.
They have a privacy notice in place that explains how they collect, use and protect people's personal data.
