2024-25 Council Tax valuation bands

Check your Council Tax valuation band

You can check your valuation band on the GOV.UK website. (opens new window)

How much Council Tax you pay depends on your property's valuation band. Bands are set by the Valuation Office Agency based on how much the property was worth on 1 April 1991 - not its current value. Properties not built on 1 April 1991 are valued on what they would have been worth at 1 April 1991.
