Gateshead Children's Centres

Children's Centre closures

We are closing all Children's Centre buildings from Friday 20 March 2020 at 4.30pm until further notice. All events, activities and services after this time are cancelled. This decision has been made following guidance given by the government to reduce unnecessary contact for us all in response to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Our staff are available to offer advice and support to parents or carers by telephone: 0191 433 5055 or email: We will continue to share information, advice and activities on our Facebook page.

You can still sign up for membership while our centres are closed. We will miss all of the families who attend our activities and we look forward to seeing you all soon.

Gateshead Children's Centres provide support, advice and activities for families with children under the age of five years. Our children's centre and linked sites give help and advice on child and family health, parenting, money, training and employment.

Gateshead Children's Centre services are also delivered in other facilities across Gateshead.
