Join us for Shape Children and Young People's Festival. Shining a spotlight on the wealth of creativity happening across the borough, Shape's very first Youth Festival taking place from Monday 16 February to Sunday 1 March 2026.

Shining a spotlight on the wealth of creativity happening across the borough, Shape's very first festival will showcase the artistic talent of our children and young people.

The festival will feature a programme of new events, designed and delivered by young people including music, dance, textiles, photography and exhibitions as well as promoting existing opportunities taking place in Gateshead over February half term.

Youth groups including Reverberate, Gateway Studios, Blaydon Youth Club, Plus Group, Digital Voice Photoclub and Anime Attacks will be hosting events for their peers in venues across Gateshead with the Shape Youth Festival Final Fling! on Sunday 1 March at the MetroCentre. Look out for a Shape festival trail around cultural venues, designed by Orbis with young people. How many events and venues can you visit?

For more details please visit Shape Gateshead Culture.

This program is funded and supported by NECA, NE Museums, Gateshead Cultural Education Partnership and Gateshead Council's Arts Team.
