Urban Park Market donation brings festive cheer to Gateshead families

Urban Park Market has generously donated £2,385.53 to Gateshead Foodbank, helping to support local families in need during the winter months. Urban Park Market work closely with Gateshead on the Saltwell Park Market Contract, this contribution was made entirely voluntarily, highlighting Urban Park Market's strong focus on giving back to the local community they are working with.

The funds will go directly into the foodbank's central pot, enabling the purchase of essential stock for emergency food parcels. Each parcel provides enough provision for a week's worth of meals and includes toiletries and household items , ensuing families have the basics they need during difficult times. 

In December, Gateshead Foodbank goes the extra mile by adding a special Christmas Hamper to every emergency parcel. These festive hampers aim to bring a little joy and comfort to households, offering treats that help put a smile on people's faces during the holiday season. 

This donation from Urban Park Market will make a real difference to the community, supporting the foodbank's mission to combat food poverty and spread hope during the festive period.
