Cumbria Waste employee brings colour and care to Gateshead School

As part of Cumbria Waste's commitment to social value and community engagement, one dedicated employee has made a meaningful impact at a local Gateshead school - armed with nothing more than a paintbrush and a passion for giving back.
In May 2024, a Cumbria Waste team member volunteered their time to support South Street Community Primary School by painting fences, outdoor railings, and preserving the school's wooden play apparatus. This hands-on effort helped refresh and protect the school's outdoor spaces, creating a more vibrant and welcoming environment for pupils and staff alike.
This act of service reflects Cumbria Waste's broader pledge to support local community projects through employee volunteering. Even a single day of effort can make a lasting difference - and this volunteer's contribution is a perfect example of how small actions can have a big impact.
Cumbria Waste continues to champion initiatives that strengthen community ties and enhance local spaces - one volunteer, one project, and one brushstroke at a time.
