Cumbria Waste staff serve up support in Gateshead

Cumbria Waste

In a shining example of corporate social responsibility in action, Cumbria Waste has demonstrated its strong commitment to delivering meaningful social value through its partnership with Gateshead Council, supporting the Embells CIC Community Support Project.

In June 2024, three dedicated staff members from Cumbria Waste volunteered their time to serve meals to local residents, offering not just food but also a sense of care and community. Their involvement reflects the company's commitment to making a tangible difference in the areas it serves.

In addition to volunteering, Cumbria Waste also donated £250.00 towards essential kitchen supplies for Embells CIC. This generous contribution will help the organization continue its vital work providing meals and support to vulnerable individuals across Gateshead.

The Embells CIC Community Support Project plays a crucial role in the local area, offering not only meals but also a welcoming environment and a sense of belonging. With the support of volunteers and donors like Cumbria Waste, the project continues to grow and positively impact lives.

This initiative highlights the powerful role that businesses can play in building stronger, more connected communities.
