Cumbria Waste champions local education with donation to Swalwell Primary School

As part of its ongoing commitment to community development and social responsibility, Cumbria Waste has donated £750 to Swalwell Primary School. The donation has been used to purchase outdoor supplies that have helped transform the school yard into a more dynamic and engaging space for students.
This generous contribution is part of Cumbria Waste's broader social value commitments to Gateshead Council. By supporting local schools and investing in outdoor learning environments, the company is helping to create brighter futures for young learners while reinforcing its dedication to the communities it serves.
The donation will enable the school to enhance it's outdoor facilities, encouraging creativity, physical activity, and a deeper connection with nature which are key elements in a well-rounded education.
Eileen Elliott, School Business Manager at Swalwell Primary School, expressed her gratitude:
Swalwell Primary School is a mainstream school with specialised SEN provision so children can learn together. The £750 from Cumbria Waste allowed us to purchase resources children could use and provide areas in school that could be accessed by all. We appreciate the help and hope to work with them again in the future.
Cumbria Waste's support shows that strong communities are built through collaboration, care, and investment in the next generation.
