Saltwell Park will come alive with celebrations as it marks its 150th anniversary with a vibrant, family-friendly event on Thursday 30 July.
Running from 10am to 3pm, Saltwell Park's 150th celebrations will transform the historic park into a lively hub of activity, inspired by its rich heritage, natural beauty, and the communities, volunteers and visitors who have helped shape its enduring popularity.
Everyone is invited to come along to help celebrate the milestone year. The event promises something for all, with a full programme of free entertainment designed to bring one of the borough's most cherished and award-winning parks to life.
Visitors can enjoy live music throughout the day, try their hand at circus skills, and take part in a range of creative and nature-inspired activities suitable for all ages.
Artistic workshops will be dotted across the park, with easels set up to encourage visitors to channel their creativity alongside interactive artists. Sports enthusiasts can join in tennis coaching sessions, while those keen to explore the park's history can take part in guided walking tours, discovering stories from its 150-year past.
